Supporting Local Pets and Families in Times of Need
Tesa’s Rescue hopes to support the local community by offering medical assistance to animals in need of emergency / life saving surgeries / treatments, at the same time helping their kind owners on low income cover these veterinary bills when medical costs become overwhelming. Many families on low income face the heart breaking possibility of rehoming their beloved pets when unexpected vet costs arise, Tesa’s Rescue hopes to ease these burdens, save lives and keep pets where they belong – with the families who love them. We have developed fantastic relationships with the local vets and liaise directly with local clinics, therefore payments go straight into vet accounts.
We are only able to operate within 10 mile radius of Hastings.
Georgie
A rescued Spaniel whose devoted owner spent all of her savings on countless treatments in a desperate attempt to resolve his recurring, severe ear infections. Sadly, none were successful and the infections were beginning to pose a serious risk of spreading to his brain. The only permanent solution was for Georgie to undergo two TECA surgeries, one on each ear, a life saving procedure that involves removing the ear canals entirely. While 100% necessary, this surgery is extremely costly. Determined not to give up on him, Georgie’s owner contacted us to see if we could help and we said yes without hesitation. We successfully fundraised for both surgeries, with the help of our local community of animal lovers. Georgie’s owner was overwhelmed with gratitude and we are so happy Georgie is doing well. Although he has lost his hearing, he has adapted beautifully and is enjoying life once again.

Otto Bear
At the remarkable age of 16, Otto Bear is living a wonderful life with his adoring family. He has been a healthy cat throughout his life, but as our pets reach their senior years, health issues can sometimes arise. Otto Bear’s owners used all the savings they had set aside to treat his cystitis, but he also required further blood tests and much needed dental work. The combined costs quickly became overwhelming. Once again, our incredible local community of animal lovers came together to help fundraise towards his vet bills. Otto Bear has now had the medical procedures he needed, making his life so much more comfortable. His owners were deeply grateful for the support they received at a time when they needed it most.
Dean
This adorable goat lives alongside many other rescued farm animals, as well as cats and dogs, and is lovingly cared for by an incredible solo-rescuer who does everything she can for animals in need of a helping hand. Already overwhelmed with vet bills, she reached out to us to see if we could help with the cost of Dean’s medication after he injured his hoof. What was an £84 vet bill for us meant a huge welfare improvement for Dean and an enormous relief for his dedicated carer.
